What a fun experience,I breed orientalis if I can offer any advice that big ole tank surely is nice but with larva either make sure there is a a live food culture sustainable enough to support itself,or focus on target feeding with a piper it’s easy for a larva to get lost in large spaces and starve

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
