Hi!

Now Lemon and Monkee are 6 months old, would it be possible to sex them from these pictures? I'm not sure if the pictures have uploaded, but time will tell ...

The white one is posibly a female and the black one is probebly a male... Probebly wrong though, just thing that because of the head shape. Better if you got of shot of the cloaca

I got no idea but you got some cool axies

i heard that axies dont get a sex until they are about a year old? so maybe you wont beable to tell for a little while longer... the site has good photo example of male and female, its on the main site and the males have this weird lump near their back legs.

What type of substrate is that, and where did you get it? I've never seen such perfectly round grains of sand like that. Is it synthetic?

it looks like pellets to me, but i might be wrong

If you could get a cloacal shot, they look big enough to sex.

I believe the "sand" is synthetic, but I can't for the life of me remember what the brand name is. I'll check soon when I go to the pet shop next. It seems to be very good and small enough so they don't ingest any. At any rate, they are hand-feeding pinkies and fuzzies now so I doubt they eat any of it anyway.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
