Since i´m so happy and proud of my little family, here are a couple shots of them hehe.
Now there´s the adult pair (the male is in deep breeding mode, never seen him like this, and the female is huuuuuuuge, she´s now a lot fatter than shown in the pics), the small juvie that resulted from their first breeding(my joy and pride n_n) and the new larvae born this season.
All in all a happy tank full of happy live hahaha.

Happy newts, indeed! You are right to be proud, congratulations!

Way to go on your little morph! I know you lost a couple, so I am very happy you have this little one. Good luck with this years babies, and keep us posted!

Thanks a lot n_n
I´m extremely happy with this tank, not only because of the cute family , but also because it´s developed into a very stable, natural little pond hehe.
I hope to have better luck and commit no mistakes this time...watching your own little newts grow is indeed a wonderful experience.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
