Now that Eddie and Elektra are in their new home, I decided to upgrade the Alpies as well. I started with three last year that I purchased from M. Shrom, and before I knew it I had a colony!

They are growing up. I have twenty left. I gave the rest away locally. I just moved them all into a 40 gallon breeder tank, so they have a lot of space. After I see these start to breed, I'll start to further reduce my herd (not cull! sell and give away, but I'm not ready yet).

Elsewhere someone posted/asked about different colors, and I noticed that most of mine are dark, but there are a few lighter ones. I'll find that thread and add to it.

I have it set up mostly aquatic, since they only haul out sometimes and are not terrestrial at all.

All the plants are artificial.

Here are the links to their history.

Want a suggestion? Get a bit of corkbark or something flat and make a bridge/ledge between the flowerpots. Putt some moss on it and it will look great.

Nice vivs Dawn. Your juvies look about the same size as mine, but mine hate the water!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
