This is Neo our baby golden axolotl unsure of age as I breed cichlids not walkers. Hope you all like feel free to comment in fact I would like that.

Tank size

1ftx1ftx1ft Filtration 80LPR drip filter(uses sand and filter wool)

How big is your axolotl? If he's under 12cm that size tank will be okay for a few months then you'll have to upgrade (they can reach sizes of up to 30cm+); minimum 2ft x 1ft x 1ft at least, to allow for growth and any caves etc...

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
