Here's my girl AxoLotte!
I've got her yesterday, and the guy I bought her from, thought she was about 3 years.
I'm not sure, because this is my first axie. She is sexual mature (black toes).
How old do you think she is, depending on her size?
I think she looks so young (but I have no clue)

I think she is really, really cute - I just love that pretty face!
She looks so healty and smiling :D

She also has that black spot on her back (I've been told she always has)
Does someone know what that is?

I think she is a lot younger then 3 years. I say this because in the picture where you can see the tank aswell you can see her skin is quite see through, notice the black area where the belly is.
I have a leucistic axolotl like yours, she is 8 months old and her skin looks alot thicker and I can't see the black area .
As for the black spot, i should think thats just a marking of her skin, you may find she will develop more as time goes by. My axie also has black toes, she's had them for about 2 months.

Thanks :)
I agree that she looks younger than 3 years, even though she's my first axie, and I really don't have a clue. Could it be possible she isn't fed well earlier? She looks quite healthy and happy, and not to skinny.

How big is she. Though length is not a definite indicator of maturity, If she's 8 inches or under I doubt that she's much older than a year (if older) and certainly not ready for breeding. If she's 12 inches or over, chances are she's an adult. In between it's kind of foggy.

I can't tell her size from looking at the photo. I measure mine during tank overhauls, I move them into containers with clear bottoms, and either place a ruler or graph paper underneath and use that to tell the size.

Thanks for the tip!
I will definitly try to measure her tonight :)

It's hard to measure her outside the tank, but I'll try again during feeding time tonight :p
I want to show you a few more pics. I think she's adorable. :animal:
