Here are some pictures of my Broken Stripe Newts. Their color is amazing! Check out the broken stripe that runs along their bodies. I believe my gender ratio is 1.2, hopefully I can induce them into breeding.

Wow Jaymes I hope you breed those. They are my favorite Notophthalmus and those are awesome looking animals. I wish you much success on your breeding and rearing of this beautiful amphibian group:)

Great looking newts Jaymes!
Beautifull how the red broken stripes are almost not broken at all in that one specimen.

Love this Noto specie!
Congrats with obtaining them... :)

Great looking newts Jaymes. However, it looks like you have at least 2 males to me.

Great looking newts, good luck with the breeding efforts.
I would dearly love some adult broken striped newts, but sadly they are NEVER available in the UK

I love these newts! Hope to get them someday. (when I have the space :p)
Goodluck with them :)

Justin is right. I have 2 males and 1 female. Good eyes Justin! I'm still happy with this ratio.

Awesome colors! Thanks for sharing.

Great looking newts! Good luck!

Beautiful! I'm a noto lover myself. Good luck with them!

great looking newts jaymes . can't wait till you sell some later.

Nice newts! Their color is really interesting - mine are more brownish-green, not so yellow. Good luck with them. I've found mine are very easy to breed after a drop in temps :D

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
