Ooh I really love the gills :)
(And I spy a lil' axie in the tank somewhere hidden near a corner:D )

Looks good mate i like the big rock! Loads of space for em they should be happy in there a cave each would be an excellent addition as there arnt any hiding places for them to get away from each other if things got abit heated (i dont mean temperature lol) in there or if they get startled it would make them feel more comfortable if they had somewhere to hide!

Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to do that

Hey there Dylan!

They are beautiful - lovely dark golden color and as stated - love those gills! Nice set up too - nice size tank. :D So glad you got them!

Just stunning :D LOVE the gills, their HUGE! Beautiful little axies and a very nice home for them as well.
Congratulations.

Mere.

Thank you everyone! they are happy little critters! So fun to watch them eat! Once they get settled in I may begin looking for a melanoid companion ;)

Whooh, I also like the tank setup! The rocks make it looks awesome.

Thank you! I changed it a bit since i took the pictures. There is now a slate cave that rests on the two small rocks on the right side. And i got some different filers. It looks even cooler now!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
