I just received my new axie (from Brian Pruitt) in the mail this morning. This is Swarley and his tank. My boyfriend and I still live in a dorm, so I painted the background to look like a dorm room lol. He's already eaten two bits of worm, and he seems to enjoy his new home!

he's beautiful!! and I love the stormtrooper in the tank :p
and the log!

very cute little axie!!

Thanks! He's not hiding anymore, so I think he's getting used to being here.

Haha I love the stormtrooper. I'm interested to see how Swarley reacts to him. Thus far, he hasn't explored that corner.

Awesome setup! Looks like he's gonna be one happy little axolotl!! :D

Thanks! :D I wish I could put more in for him, but I'm restricted on my tank size for now.

I've been taking loads of pictures. He seems to love the camera, because he comes out when I have it.

He really loves the log though. I'm glad I got it. It's a little big now, but he'll grow in to it.

awww hes lovely

he's lovely!!

and I love your setup!!

Thanks! I'm really glad everyone seems to like my setup. I was worried that I might pick something wrong for him. I had a hard time finding things too. Pet stores have hardly no hides and only tiny rocks. I lucked out though. There's a family-run pet store down the street from my dorm, and they've been very helpful.

Had to share this picture, too cute!! :D

hahahaha
the stormtrooper looks like its very scared of the little critter :D

I think you have a young jedi in that tank ;) (or a yoda look-alike)

Haha, loving the 'to-do' list on his whiteboard ;)

Quality.

lol, Thanks! I'm so glad my camera battery lasted until I got that picture. It died shortly after.

I just had to include the whiteboard todo list in his "dorm room," haha. Thanks!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
