Just joined this forum today to learn as much as possible about axololts. I have recently acquired some eggs and at this moment I have 9 axolotls of about 4 weeks old. Some of them have already got front legs! I have attached a picture of two weeks ago, on the light colored axolotl you can vaguely see the developing front legs.

They're so cute when they're babies!

Welcome to the forum. You've got an adorable little herd. Hopefully you have room for all of them!

Welcome aboard and enjoy them while they are little cause they grow all too fast!

Errrr.... wait isnt that what my mom told me about my kids too???????

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
