Spongebob and Squidward

My axies Spongebob and Squidward

Spongebob is the one admiring him/herself in the side on the tank and Squidward is the one posing for the camera <3 In the photo of them both Squidward is closest to the side of the tank and the other photo is from the day I bought them when they were so tiny. Just thought I would share my axies with everyone as they are too cute to keep to myself

Very cute. Goldens are definitely my favorite coloration. It does look like Spongebob could add a little weight in the 1st picture.

Awh cute axolotls! I love goldens! Would really like one of that colour but my boyfriend is scared of them...I have no idea why lol.

Hey I know but i feed him all the time and he eats as much if not more than Squidward just doesn't seem to get any fatter - he has always been the smaller of the 2.

No idea what colouration they are the shop sold them as albinos but they are very rare to find where I live so not too sure.

I have a golden albino to like yours and he was bought at the same time as his brother (a leucistic) and he has always been small, Mojo has grown to 8 inches whereas Finley is 6 inches and as you say he eats the same as the other 2 but still stays small maybe its a genetic thing :happy:

How cute - they grow so quickly. I think as long as he is eating and is happy you're right its prob just genetic :happy: Just had a refurb of the tank and introduced them to sand so they have been sulking for a bit and I couldn't even bribe them with a few hand fed worms but hopefully they will have cheered up by feeding time tonight

new pics of my axies

and new tank setup:

1. feeding them worms for the first time
2. spongebob (on the ground) and squidward getting used to the sand
3. Exploring their new food bowl (spongebob is the one in the bowl)
4. Spongebob <3
5.Squidward in the new tank layout - just came out to see what I was up to
6.Squidward again <3
7. Squidward on the plant and Spongebob thinking he(i think) is still hidden and being nosey
8. Squidward fed up of the camera now
