It's been a while since I've posted some pics of my current axie tank. also, I've decided to experiment with plant filtration, the idea is that certain types of plants suck all the nasties out of the tank water. another forum user (see this thread: http://www.caudata.org/forum/f46-beginner-newt-salamander-axolotl-help-topics/f48-axolotls-ambystoma-mexicanum/f59-tank-set-ups-filters-substrate/75767-plant-filter.html) had some great results after a few weeks using peace lily as a filter plant, so I'm giving it a go, the lilies themselves are just "planted" in the trickle filter above my tank.

I also got a blue LED night light to illuminate the tank at night, because it's in my room and its nice to look at something as I go to sleep.

Thanks, I can't wait to see how this effects my water quality. So far, Sir Lance-Alotl seems to be ok with it.

I need to do this sometime! Amazing
