Thanks :D
I got them on the 28 six days ago.
I got them from ZOO & CO they told me they were three months old.
They have grown sooooo much since I got them.
When I got them Axe was 5 cm and Olotl was 7 cm.
Axe is now 10 - 11 cm and 12 - 13 cm, they have also gotten a lot darker and more golden.
I think they are axanthic albino. They also have very black toes, I don't know if it is because they are sexually mature (strange because they are so young) I think I read that in Axolotl.org any info on Axies with black toes?

Well, it's definitely not axanthic; the yellow hue is not possible with axanthism (a lack of xanthophores, which produce yellow pigment).

Black toes can be a sign of sexual maturity, but it's not the only one. Most people's axolotls get black toes around 6 months of age. Yours are definitely older than 3 months old. They're probably closer to 5-6 months old.

Thanks :D
wow 5-6 months old, cool. Its soooo funny when they bite fingers by mistake.
I cant wait to see how big they'll get. I read that you should only start breeding your Axies at around 18 months on axolotl.org, I have also read on other sites 16, 17 months and also when they are adults, but how do you know when they are adults.
Do they have any difference when they are adults a certain size, colour, age etc.

New Thread

Does anyone know how to start a new thread. Or can you only create one thread per account. when I first logged in there was some text saying YOU HAVE NOT CREATED ANY THREADS WOULD YOU LIKE TO CREATE A THREAD or something like that and there was a link that said NEW THREAD maybe it was a bit different but that the closest I can remember. Is there a button somewhere that you press to create a new thread. Any INFO.

Does anyone know how to upload pics onto a post, I know I did it already.
But for some reason when I have chosen the pics and press the upload button it finishes uploading and when I press post the pics aren't their. They are in JPG format they worked for me before.:confused::confused::confused:

In the reply box, click 'go advanced', and it should give you the option to upload pictures.

Also make sure you post new threads in the appropriate sections of the forum. There is a section specifically for pictures, one for help, one for breeding, etc.

Thanks :D:D:D:D

Just Testing Pics.

My Axies love hiding inside the sunken ship. :D:D:D:D

Release the Kraken!!

Sick?

My Axies have white fluff on the ends of their gills and some bits are dropping off.
Are they sick?
I put them in a smaller fish tank that I bought, it is much cooler that the other (around 18 C).
I read to put them in the fridge is this correct, I have two small brothers and one small sister and I am worried if I put them in the fridge they might play with them. :(:(:(:(
What should I do a Salt Bath?

Please help.

They were fine two days ago. :(:(:(:(

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
