  • jumps out at you when you least expect it!
  • is very curious
  • and is my female!
Sir Podge-a-lot's profile:


  • He is a wild type
  • Liked to stare at people
  • Follows you as you walk past the tank
  • eats a lot
  • Likes to nibble fingers...
  • And is, I believe, male!

What sweet axolotls! Lol @ being stared at by Sir Podge-a-lot, never try and outstare an axolotl!

I guess I'll also have to add that, funky as your tank is, you should remove that gravel as a matter of urgency if you haven't done so already.

The sand is good, but the gravel can kill your axies. I haven't even been on this board a year, and seen way way too many axies die or have serious surgery because of gravel impaction :(
 
It's just been removed.

Erm, yeah podge loves to stare at anyone...

So cuute! Love the name Sir Podge-a-lot and the description of his personality! Mine likes to stare and follow people along the tank too, maybe its a black axi thing:p Nice little couple of axi's you've got there ;) :cool:

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
