Is that something you caught? can you give us a hint- the state, the environment (forest, stream, etc)?

Looks to be either Ensatina eschscholtzii eschscholtzii or Ensatina eschscholtzii oregonensis.

Yeah more information is needed. Here are choices:

Plethodon
Ambystomatidae - But the eyes on it throw me of thinking it's one of these.
Aneides

Definitely Ensatina. The head shape and the girth of the tail gives it away. Not sure exactly what species.

I dont know. A friend caught it and gave it to me. He said he found them under some leaves by a stream. I released them the next day after taking some pics. I thought it was an Ensatina. I never knew though. Just wanted to know what opportunity i bypassed.
Thanks for the help!

Definitely an Ensatina. Easily seem from the head and eye shape.
Justin said it all...

It was the tail that I couldn't figure out. But I think I was somewhat close with Plethodon.

Are you keeping it Frogman?

It's the tail which makes it a dead giveaway as Ensatina. The constricted base is characteristic.

Wow, That's so cutiee.Don't have any idea about this species. But seems interesting:confused:
