Triturus dobrogicus larvae close-ups, Ambystoma gracile, and Plethodon cinereus

Hello everyone. Reading some recent posts inspired me to share a few photos from this last Spring of 2011. In the close-up of the Triturus dobrogicus you can faintly see red blood cells transporting oxygen through the gills. Enjoy!

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
