I finally finished the 100gallon conversion. I think it will look really nice once I find some more salamanders to place in it. I posted some pictures of the tank. It is in the basement so I had to add heating elements to the tank to maintain a optimum temperature in the wintertime.
There is currently 2 dusky sallies in the tank. I also have an adopted Grey Tree Frog and an Anole. Now before anyone jumps on the non-community tank...these animals have been living together for over 2 years. I specialized the tank so it has a hanging heat lamp and reptilian Sun lamps for "Steve" (anole) You would be able to find the two arboreal species occupying the same micro-system but the grey tree frog and the anole have different niches within the micro-system. The dusky obviously are terrestrial/aquatic and occupy a completely different niche.

but if you will put some salamanders, will you have to remove the heatings, true?
