I got a new camera so I've been taking pictures of my two axolotls like crazy! Cinna is the wild type, Satine is the leucistic. I had only planned to ever have one axolotl... guess I'm addicted now!

Aw, such pretty axis. They look so much like mine, especially the wild one. My other is a melanoid albino...shiny eyes. :) Haha, I've only had my guys for a couple of weeks and already I've decided o go for a 6ft tank and have a couple more. Curse the day I spotted the axolotl!!!

Hopefully the both of mine will turn out as lovely as your two :)

They're gorgeous :D, and I use the same pipe :)

I totally forgot I posted this! I was so busy...

Thank you everyone! :)
(And PVC is totally the best... my lotls love it to death)

I've become addicted too. Soon I will have a whole room full of lotls...

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
