Thanks to TorontoDrew we just got our newest axolotl.(as yet unnamed) sorry if the pictures are horrible hes just soooo tiny, I'll post better ones as he/she grows.
(also a picture of our first axie, Mudkip)

Oh my goodness, how tiny is that!!!! :eek: And Mudkip is so gorgeous! Im preparing for my first axolotl, so very excited about it all!
I dont know why, but the name 'Squee' jumped straight into my head when I looked at that tiny thing :D

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
