Last year I got nothing but dud eggs from my females. This year seems a lot better. Four females laying constant with a fully crested male still harassing them. I have 3 different pairs housed differently. All the females became gravid but just 1 male fully crested.

The other males may not have fully crested because of how they were housed. I kept a pair terrestrial, another aquatic at 50-60 degrees and the 3rd group aquatic at 40-50 degrees during the cooling period. The male that was kept aquatic at 40-50 degrees during the winter fully crested.

Just wanted to share, enjoy the photos.

That is awesome!! The male we got from you is fully crested and has been for months. One female laid 4 eggs the middle of January but none since then. I expected more eggs from her as she is huge. I have white plastic laying strips. What is your water temp? The temp in with ours is around 57-58F.

wow - spectacular! Look at all those eggs, it makes my head swim. How large are your adults? My babes are 10 months and 10 cm now and I wonder if maybe they'll look like that next year :)

The adults are about 13cm. 2-3 years in age.

maybe we can swap babies one day!
