Because of a irritating worm-problem (Rhabdocoela), I had to start all over again... I've tried to clean my tank as well as I could and my tank is now cycling since saturday. But it's not fully decorated yet, I want to do something with rocks to make a hiding-place for my axolotls, but it still has to be easy to clean... The problem is, I really have no inspiration at all!

I was wondering if you guys could help a little?

I've put a picture of how my tank supposed to look like ans how it is right now (pretty empty...).

My axolotls are now in the fridge while I give them a saltbath each day, 'cause Annabel keeps having these white patches on het head...

The waterhyacint is a plant that grows in the lake/ponds where they live in the wild.
I would add more sand so the plants can grow good roots.

Final result (for now)

I still have some moss and other plants that I want to put in, but I'm still figuring out how I'll place them...

Starting to look good.

Looks great so far!!

Vallis looks good at the back of the tank.. Once it starts to grow shoots you should add them behind the rocks so it covers the empty space at the back.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
