Here are my 3 axies who I have had for about 6 weeks now. They eat like pigs tonight they ate three 6 inch worms tonight. In the 6 weeks I have had them they have doubled in thickness and grown an inch to an inch and a half. It is hard to believe how fast they grown. The tank picture will be completely different come next week. I just ordered driftwood and a ton of new plants to add to the tank to make it look different.

They definitely look happy. How big are they?

They are 5- 5.5 inches each. They have grown a ton both length and width since I have gotten them.

Very cute, I'm just wondering what substrate is that? Looks very interesting :)

It is black and white sand mixed together, I sifted through both sands and washed them about 3 times before adding them but I had extra sand and decided to give it a shot adding both. The only thing I hate is that it unfortunately is hard to see things that collect on the bottom being so dark.

It does look nice though, almost like the stuff that you see on the bottom of indoor playgrounds.

Thanks. I grow more fond of it, the only thing I don't like is the hard ability to see waste on the bottom but the starter cycle I used has done an amazing job and once I have shrimp that should help!

I'm an amateur myself but they look well to me ;)

Thanks!
