My new tigers!

Just a few quick snaps of my new Ambystoma mavortium nebulosum, Arizona tiger salamanders!

Pic one and two are Tiger 1. ENORMOUSLY long tail, at least equal in length to the body, strong keel. Wish this showed up better in pics.

Pic three and four are Tiger 2. Short tail, no keel, chubby little thing.

Any thoughts on sexes?

Their setup: a 20gal long, all silk plants (for now), water dish, clay pot half buried, PVC pipe. There's about 5 inches of substrate in this. It's a mix of coco fiber and topsoil. The big one hangs out on top, but the little one likes to burrow.

Grats! Glad they made it there safely. Also, I always thought they went to that pool I found them in to spawn, and are a pair!

As far as the sexes of tigers, I've found that the males have longer tails while the females have shorter tails.

So, if they are a pair, is the giant one the female, or is that the male?

The big 'un is the male. I had a suspicion, but I just wanted confirmation. Thanks guys for your input, and thank you, markrimn, for sending them! I think they're just fantastic.
