Here is a pic of the tank. Its a ten gallon don't kill me my apartment only allows ten gallon limit its really stupid! I will be moving in a year so I plan on getting him a 30 gallon! Its a little bare Im open to suggestions if you guys have any neat ideas on what to add to it. He does love everything in it he loves the plants the cave, the dish even though he doesn't eat from it lol and he loves grabbing onto the water bottle when I throw some in there

Some areas of shade would be nice , he could then determine what light level he wishes to be in. I like your trailing plant roots, is the plant semi aquatic? and what is is?

Its Golden Pothos. I got the idea from Carson on here. He loves them and the roots have actually increased since that picture so there are a lot more! He loves hanging on to them all the time and I like them there cause he grips on them when he wants to hang near the filter. they are great to help with toxic levels too!

Pothos and peace lilly are great for any tank. Really helps to keep the water clean.

Those freckles are too cute, by the way.

love the freckles! got lucky with him

way to cute for words ... its a shame you can't pick them up & give them a cuddle :p

I know! even though he loves clinging to my hand its so funny. I sometimes put my hand in there to pull out dead roots and he rushes to just dangle on my hand soooo weird haha

Update picture on Geezer! He is getting so big

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
