Hi all,

Just wanted to share some pictures of my new Cynops ensicuada popei tank. it is heavily planted, has a driftwood land area that also goes in the water, and a cork float. It has two sponge filter on the back edges. There are five juveniles in it presently. All CB.

Looks good, are the juveniles aquatic or terrestrial at the moment?

A bit of both. Some of them are more aquatic than others, but most of them spend about 50% of their time on land/water. They should be getting more aquatic soon enough.

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
