Wild type x Leucistic babies

My facebook friends are pretty much ready to block me already because of all the axie pictures i post, so I decided to spare them and post pictures of my new babies here instead.

So in the morning of October 2nd I found A LOT of spermatophores in the tank where my two adults are. And in the evening the female started to lay eggs. I decided to keep a few eggs and try to raise them.

Mother is a wild type (mother wild type, father leucistic) and father is a leucistic (mother leucistic and father grey melanoid).

I ended up keeping 10 eggs including one set of twins. So currently 11 little axies are developing in a small plastic container that's floating in the adult tank to keep the temperature stable at about 19 C. Does anyone know how many days it usually takes for them to hatch at that temperature? I read it takes about 2-3 weeks depending on the temperature, but would 19C be closer to the 2 weeks or 3?

Here are two pictures. First one is the 4th and the second one is the 5th day after laying. Sorry the pictures aren't really the best quality because I didn't bother taking the container out of the aquarium for pictures.

My eggs hatch at around 11-14 days at room temp (18-20C), up to 21+ days if I keep them outside (8-15C).

You should be getting some leucistic babies, some wildtypes and maybe some melanoids out of that batch - let us know what turns up!

Hopefully the brineshrimp eggs I bought from Ebay will get here on time so I don't have to pay the ridiculous prices at a local fish store. 20€ seems a bit much considering I paid about 10€ including postage on Ebay (and it wasn't even the cheapest stuff from China lol).

There are definitely different colors in the batch. Looking like wild types, leucistics or light wild types and possibly melanoids. There are three that at least so far don't have any yellow in them. On others I can see at least some amount of yellow, plus they clearly have yellow in their eyes. Hoping the three really are melanoids as I've been wanting one for some time. Just waiting for them to hatch now.

Yay 11 little babies are all out of their eggs now. Those that hatched yesterday already ate some bbs today and hopefully those that hatched today will be just as hungry tomorrow as the the others. Cutest little lotls ever. <3

hey thats awesome i hatched my salamanders from an egg to but only one survived and it is on land now what ever you do don't keep them in the same tank together they WILL eat each other trust me the reason only one of mine survived is cause they eat each other and i had 16 of them such a waste good luck with them

Thanks. They're currently all in one plastic container, but I already got more containers so I can separate them once the grow a bit.

A few pictures from today during feeding. Sorry, the quality is far from best.

All 11 axolitls are still alive. But one has been separated for a few days now. It seemed to slowly get sick in the past few days and I was getting ready to cull it today, but surprisingly it seemed to get better last night and it's still doing better today. There's nothing visibly wrong with it, but it has not been eating much and has only pooped once in the past 3 days (last night). Yesterday it was mostly just laying at the bottom on it's side, but today it's been swimming around a bit and seems to hold itself up better. It also started eating at least a little. So I'm just monitoring it closely for now and will cull it if it seems to not get better.
The others are currently divided into two groups based on their growth rate. On the bigger ones it's already easy to see tiny little front legs growing. In the next few days I'll divide them into smaller groups so they'll have plenty of space in their tubs. The smaller ones are doing fine, but just growing a little slower.

As for colors there seems to be wild types, melanoids (2 darker ones and 1 lighter color or possibly white melanoid) and leucistics. There are still some that I'm not sure if they're leucistics or light wild types - they looked like leucistics, but are getting darker as they grow so I guess I'll have to wait a little to be sure.

Their gills are growing like crazy!

The sick little baby is doing much better now. It is back in the tub with the others and eating like a little pig. The only difference is that its gills aren't as flashy as the others', but I'm sure they'll grow too. It's the one on the left in the third picture.

The babies are doing great. Everyone has perfect little front limbs and on the bigger ones it's easy to see the back limbs starting to grow. I'm going to try to feed them some frozen bloodworms for the first time in a few days.

Everyone is still growing great. Today is the first day completely with out BBS now that everyone is eating bloodworms very well. The biggest ones are well over 4 cm and everyone has little back limbs growing. So far no one has lost any gills or limbs to hungry siblings and hopefully it stays that way.
