I got these two I was told that one was a Spanish ribbed and one was a spotted. I am thinking they may both be ribbed but I'm not sure. I know for a fact that the leucistic female is a ribbed but I am not sure about the darker male. Could anyone help? Thanks!

Both are P.waltl.

Ones wild type and ones leucistic.

Also, your wild type appears to be a male.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
