Hi Everyone,

I posted in the help section earlier this fall about how my karelinii male went into breeding colors but that my females weren't gravid. At no point did they ever appear gravid, but they must have had a few eggs because I found larvae the other day when I was feeding the adults and noticed that the little daphnia like creatures that used to swim around my tank were no longer there. I have counted six at a time but due to my crazy tank setup it is possible there are more. I haven't posted here for a while so I thought I'd post some images.

The thing that I am most excited about is how little work I have put into the breeding this time. usually I transfer all the plants to tupperware dishes and raise the larvae in really clean conditions and feed them brine shrimp every day and put alot of effort into it. while I got considerably fewer larvae this way it was super easy. I did nothing and now all I do is put a few blackworms into the pertri dish whenever it runs out.

The corning petri dish is for feeding them blackworms. the last picture is to show my weird emersed java moss. I have a glass top on this tank and have been trying to get the anubias to grow emersed in the high humidity, but all that has happened is my philodendron is slowly dying and my java moss is looking strange.
