Hello 
My name is Alexus, and I am the owner of Axel the Axolotl (how original right?)
I had been searching for my little guy for years here in Winnipeg Manitoba. A month ago, I had gone to a pet show and my first instincts were to check out the fish, amphibians and birds.. when I noticed a large tank with glow in the dark axolotls!
I was amazed and got all of the pet stores information and found out that this one particular store across my city had a whole load of axolotls that had just came here!
The next morning I went straight to and adopted my guy ... or maybe girl?? Axel!
I'm fairly new with axolotls and I am always researching and looking for ways to make Axel comfortable and happy with me!
It's lovely to come home and have him greet me! As soon as my light goes on, out from under his cave he comes and to the front of his tank where we sit and stare at eachother....
Axel gets very fiesty when he eats and gets too eager and nips his feeders and my fingers! I think he likes me and I know I love him ... or her?
I'm still trying to figure out how old Axel is and since the first day I got him he's grown so much ! Within a month!
Well anyways hello everyone! I am excited to have my future questions answered and to learn new things I may not know!
