Months back I got an axolotl from my brother, and I recently got two more! I joined this community to be able to talk and receive public knowledge and advice if something isn’t right, like right now. One of the axolotls(lucy)I Recently got from a nice lady was missing an eye! He seems to be blind on the side that is missing. His pupil on the other side looks a little white also, is there anything I can do? Has anyone experienced this?

Post a pic for us to check out. I don't think there's any issues with damaged eyes since they don't see that well anyways.

You can see and outline of where the eye is supposed to be.

Wow interesting! It isn't anything to be concerned about, just the usual look out for fungus like you usually do with any injury :)

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
