Hello all!
I thought with the number of times I come to this forum looking for answers to my stupid axolotl questions (are they swimming too much, are they not swimming enough, are they too thin, are they too fat, you get the idea) I thought I’d make an account. Here are my axies. I’m pretty sure Kappa (the copper) is a girl and Kelpie (the wild type) is a boy so I’m probably going to have to split them up soon. I got them as tiny little axpoles back in September.
Anyway I love my little guys and I’m always looking for ways to make their lives better so I know I have a lot in common with you all!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
