Digging around on line I found a product called pit moss. It is a paper product and the ingredients not readily available. It is a substitute for peat.
My use would be for European night crawler bedding. With it being a paper product it sounds perfect but am not so sure. If anybody has used and or knows the exact ingredients please share. Thanx in advance.

im no expert in terrestrial sals, but i wouldn't use anything that doesn't have all ingredients listed. too risky imo.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
