The children's school is celebrating world book day today, their highlight is to meet an author of some children's books ( in this case he likes animals!!)and the parents treat is to be able to create masks and hats .
Madeleine my 5 year old decided that she must have an axolotl , so last night every thing was put on hold while we did this...she did most of it.

The hair on the girl pictured on her tshirt resembles an axolotl's gills also!
It's great that your kids love your animals too.

You should see her helping James chop the worms up too... she's surprisingly tough.

That's super cool! but i feel threatened looking at it

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
