So, a few weeks back I noticed this black spot on my axie. It didn't grow or anything so I thought maybe it was some pigmentation.

Fast forward to today, when feeding her I noticed it grew bigger, a little bit but enough for me to worry. I realised it has a bit of a... Fuzzy texture? Haven't touched it, but doesn't really look like her smooth slime coat. It's barely visible, I always have a hard time taking pics of her, will add more when I can

What should I do? Is it a fungus? Can I manage it on my own? I don't think there's any vets that can handle an axolotl in my town.

would really need a clearer picture.

Dude that looks like the black mark on my axolotl! Did it ever disappear?!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
