Hopefully in the future exists here the necessary the awareness and ecological respect which have another countries ( like U.K. ) about protecting amphibians
yeah John, its a bit old and battered but it gets the message across... They are all over the site.
I should add that the toads will be allowed back into the original site as soon as work is finished (if it hasnt already) so it wasnt a translocation, just an eviction for a couple of months.
you'll be able to see the fencing used to encourage them into the pitfall traps. The traps have hay in them for the toads to land on, a platform that can float just in case it rains and a twig used for mammals to climb out. It also catches a lot of spiders... the toads like that
