I went to a local aquatics shop today and noticed that they had some Caecilians (including one huge, very fat one, at least 50cm, maybe longer) in a semi aquatic set up, I thought they were the South American aquatic ones, but they were all on the stones out of the water. They said they were Blue African Caecilians, they would be terrestrial then wouldnt they? they didnt seem to want to be in the water, i suggested to them to move them into a different set up, with deep soil and moss so hopefully they'll be doing that. Ive reserved two, and should be picking them up the next few days, would it be possible to identify them when I get them, if I post pictures, or are they difficult to identify?
Thanks

I don't know for sure, but it may be difficult to get a definitive identification. You may also want to try posting your topic at gymnophiona.org's forum.

Someone there might be able to give you a good answer faster than somebody here.

Thanks, ive joined that forum and posted there, and on another forum. The Caecilians has been identified as Typhlonectes natans, the shop got the location of where they were from wrong, i should be picking them up this weekend.
