Is it dangerous to have a co2 tank in with African dwarf frogs? I just got a beautiful new tank and would like to inject cO2 into it to keep it looking nice but don’t want to hurt the frogs.

They should be fine. I inject CO2 into my Alpine newt tank for the aquatic plants. I suggest doing a bunch of research though first, both on planted tank care and on your frogs. When you inject CO2, your plants will need fertilizer to keep growing healthy and algae-free. I use Nilogc Thrive and my newts seem unaffected, but your frogs may be different. 3 most important things is to ensure your fertilizer will be safe to use with your water, your pH doesn't drop too low, and neither do your O2 levels. If you can, find the most recent water quality report in your area. You don't want to add more copper or cobalt or something if its already high! In regards to pH, when I started injecting CO2 I pumped too much in and the newts left the water because it was too acidic! Luckily that has been all sorted now. I will leave some links, but please do lots of research for ADFs regarding high tech tanks.

Except for one link, they are all from the website. There are a ton of websites and videos discussing high tech tanks that you should watch, but I brought up the main stuff you should familiarize yourself with, and a few links about low tech if you want to take the safe route.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
