I want to start an ongoing thread on the personalities of different hynobids kept in captivity. most are pretty shy but some are different and i think personality profiles would be useful.
i currently keep dunni, tokyoensis, nebulosus, nigrescens- most are pretty shy but the nigrescens are different. these guys are really outgoing, beg easily and will come to the glass edge to watch me moving about the room. of all my hynobids these are the only ones who dont take tail tips off their cagemates occasionally.
my only nebulosus is a juvie but he doesnt seem as shy as the juvie tokyoensis he is kept with. he has however bitten her tail tip off before. she is pretty shy and so are her parents.
the dunni are shy but are still juvies.
