Hi i am looking for some infomation on these stunning toads also what is the chance of obtaining cb animals in the UK cheers

Matt

My question is whats the chance of getting them period, never mind CB? I have not seen these toads in years.

I had them once not seen any for a long time.

There is at least one member of caudata from the uk who keeps these, i wont name directly, but he does breed and donate N. kaiseri, if that helps.

Ben

There was an importation into the UK in 2004 but none since then AFAIK. I no longer keep them and I suspect all the originals are probably dead.

I broke down and got a group of 15. This years imports seem to look like a mixed bag of juveniles and adults, mostly juvies so I suspect it will be sometime before CB start showing up regularly.

I have a wild group Melanophryniscus montevidensis 3.3 from two years ago.
They are very easy to care dislike humidity, eat a lot during the morning should be well ventilated. Withstand temperatures from 0 to 35 º C. Drown in 5cm of water ...
Once I got a spawning but the tadpoles were killed by mistake.
A few photos that I keep:
