Wow that's cool. Keep us posted, it will be interesting to see if the color changes as it gets older.

Billy, how did markings develop over the last month? Got new pics? :)

Amazing that individual made it trough metamorphosis. It isn't a extremely rare case to have a pale larvae but as far as I've heard they are very delicate during the time that is close to metamorphosis. I hope to see it become an adult ;)

They are beautiful, it's a shame that I'm not aloud to keep them

hello! I just saw this old post. Ar you sure about the origin of those salamanders? Are they really from Serra de Grandola? They have a pretty pattern characteristic from Serra de Sintra animals.

Hi Billy,

just saw this old post and the animals are beautiful. Are you sure they are from Serra de Grandola? They present a typical pattern of the animals usually found in Serra de Sintra.

cheers

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
