I recently got a giant tank for my axolotl and im still thinking of how I want to decorate it, I have been thinking of getting live plants but there are a few things I don’t understand, so I have a few questions..
1. Do you have to do the tank cycling process differently with live plants?
2. If any plants melt, what do you do with them and what causes them to melt?
3. Is the tank cleaning process with plants different?

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
