I am now 5 days in with these eggs and lots of axolotls are forming. There are also tons of eggs that have not changed at all. Should I assume they are dead and separate them from the living?

Axie eggs usually take 14-20 days to form. Some eggs will take longer than others.Maybe after over 20 days just check on them.:)

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
