Hi everyone I'm not sure if anyone else would be as excited/interested as me to see these but I'm sharing just in case :D
My newts are almost all heading land bound for the winter so have various pools and feeding dishes etc in their "forest" set up and in two of these on the same day in separate areas I found these wonderful specimens.
Just for fun I’ve circled one of them where I thought it looked like a cute smiley face :p
I left the shedded skin for 24 hours and no one returned to eat any more of it so I presumed it was safe to remove and clean their dishes.
Enjoy!

Neat! When I had my N. Viridescens it was always fun to find the intact skins in between rocks.

I was fasinated by them, especially the whole one, it was like he'd just slipped it off like a onesie haha.

They always make me think of saran-wrap newts.
