I just moved my shanjing to a new enclosure. You know those 3 drawer plastic cart things that you can get at any dept. store? I got a clear one where each shelf has the surface area of a 15 gallon tank, put some air holes in the drawers and setup a terrerium with moist soil in each drawer. tripling the amount of space my mandarins have available to them. It seems to be working great. Only thing I had to do was add some little latches to each drawer so the newts won't be able to slide the drawers open (not that they'd be able to anyway, but just for piece of mine).

Just thought I'd share.

Hi Thera.

I've seen those storage stacks you refer to and I've thought a few times about using them, but the ones I've seen are smaller than those you describe . Even so, I think this sort of solution might be good for mass rearing multiple generations of larvae or larvae from various different species.

Here's something along those lines

Thanks for sharing the idea.
