Has anyone on here tried gut loading crickets with dried krill?

I got to thinking about this at work last night and after doing a bit of research it appears quite a few commercial cricket gut loads use them as their primary ingredient. I am curious if this actually affects carotenoid content or if it is just good cheap protein.

I have done this a few times before. To be honest about it however, it was only because during those times I was running low on flake food, which I normally use to gut load along with fresh fruit or vegetables, and I was too lazy to walk around to the kitchen and get some dry catfood. I have a can of dried krill that I do not use too often so I do offer it to the crickets and roaches from time to time.
