I saw my T Grans eating its shed this morning, with an air bubble stuck inside it.
Weird looking!

Nice capture Dawn! Are they laying eggs? As I see some plastic strips ;)
 
At the point, all the plastic strips are doing is hosting tiny snails, so small they look like eggs, which get me all excited, then I look closer, and my hopes are dashed. But I put the strips in all the tanks I hoped might harbor layers and I won't give up hope until mid-May. They certainly have been amplexing, and there are two females that are very fat, so cross your fingers!

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
