Is there anybody out there in the US that is keeping, or even possibly breeding Hynobiids? This is my favorite family of salamanders, and I find it disappointing that they seem to be non-existent in the hobby over here.

I have Hynobius tokyoensis, although it's my last one obtained several years ago. Should be able to get a few species though, once my income recovers from the move. I know people north of 49 with H.dunni and H.tokyoensis, and at least in past Pachyhynobius. South of 49 I know that various genera are kept.

I've been wondering if they were widely kept as well. I'd love a few but have never seen them available.

I know somebody in the US who kept Pachyhynobius... Before they were stolen...

I'd really like some Liua spp.

I have sources for both Chinese and Japanese species of multiple genera, but it's still a case of the budget not being there.
