Identification?

My sister sent me picturesof this salamander on her back porch asking what kind it is. She lives near Portland, Oregon and I'm not familiar with the species around there. Anyone know what it is?

That is an Ensatina, it looks like it was being agitated since it's tail is secreting lots of "glue".

Thanks. My sister said she was in the process of cleaning the whole porch so it probably irritated and scared it. She left a spot of litter for him.

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
