New setup for my morphed axolotl, only thing is I'm going to change the water bowl to a darker version so it doesn't stand out as much. Thoughts?

Pretty good, but how did you get your hands on a morphed axolotl?

I believe I saw a thread saying how since its the only salamander specie allowed in Australia, that people try to force them to morph so they can be sold in pet shops

 I wish that they would stop doing that!

That's right, as we have no native salamander species here in Aus, breeders have spent the past two decades perfecting the morphing technique. They have even been selectively breeding the parents of the best morphers and apparently have got to the point were some bloodlines of axolotls start the process naturally and only a very dose dose of iodine or hormones are required to complete the process. The morphed axolotls these days are much more robust and active compared to those available 10-15 years ago so the breeders are obviously doing something right

Where'd you get yours from?

Pet store in sydney's NW, Kellyville pets

Much better with a darker bowl
