P Chinensis nostril.

Hello. I have recently aquired a P Chinensis. Thanks to some of the advice I read on here he is settling in well, fully aquatic all of the time and eating. The only odd thing is that it has one nostril that is a lot larger than the other. Im not too concerned, but was wondering if this could be indicative of anything? On another subject, whilst wandering round a local aquatic shop, one of the staff mentioned that it is now illegal to buy and sell paddletails in the UK. Is this true? Have always fancied owning one of these.
